Follow Friday - Tech Twitter
While Twitter is still a thing, I thought I’d share with you a few of the fantastic tech people that I follow on Twitter. Here’s the first batch. I’ll share a few each Friday.
Chad “The Tech Is Hiring Guy” R. Stewart
@Chad_R_Stewart has turned his Twitter account into a feed that reposts job openings in tech.
Alright, I want to put this out into the world.
— Chad R. Stewart (@Chad_R_Stewart) December 7, 2021
Next year, I will find a Software Engineer job that will get me out of Jamaica. Honestly, I want to go to the US but will settle for anywhere with a strong tech community. I will get a role where I will learn a lot!#TechIsHiring https://t.co/Lg9DqnCTUi
Taylor Desseyn
@tdesseyn is a recruiter out of Nashville who focuses on remote work. Most mornings at 10:30 AM Eastern time he hosts a live video podcast called Guidance Counselor 2.0 that focuses on all aspects of the tech job hunt.

Scott Hanselman
@shanselman works for Microsoft and contributes a LOT to the developer community. He has a podcast @Hanselminutes that’s one of my favorites. He’s probably also the world’s biggest Beyoncé fan.
Google has convinced everyone that they are qualified to practice general medicine and prescribe drugs. It is not gatekeeping to appreciate expertise. The same applies to software engineering. There are levels, and there are specializations. We are not universally qualified.

Tech Daily CFP
@TechDailyCFP is great if you’re a speaker in the tech community. They posts calls for presenters for conferences, code camps, and so forth.
We're aware of the turmoil related to Twitter and invite you to subscribe to our email list at https://t.co/HTH3DCDZEY if that works better for you. We also have long-term plans to reduce our dependence on Twitter.

Steve “ardalis” Smith
@ardalis is one of the smartest people around and one of the best conference speakers I’ve ever come across. He has the ability to take even the most complex topics and reduce them to terms an idiot like me can understand.
Hey new person! I mostly tweet about tech topics but really anything goes. Be kind and enjoy being a part of a supportive part of the Twitter tech community.

I'll add a few more resources in a thread below. For now here's a pic of my dog Rosie and her dinosaur. pic.twitter.com/kjmYH7QeM0
Pariss Athena
@ParissAthena is founder and CEO of Black Tech Pipeline and one of the most inspirational people in tech Twitter.
I’m really excited to be speaking to the students of the Persevere program today. Persevere is an organization teaching people on the inside to code so that they leave with the knowledge, skill set and network to help them find great paying work once they’re out 🙌🏾

Jeremy Sinclair
@sinclairinat0r is a .NET dev, MVP and huge community supporter
I don't feel right if I didn't do SOMETHING for those affected by recent layoffs. I call upon my followers. All of you who can help out, let's get a #TechIsHiring thread together with resources and positions. I know y'all would have my back if this was for me, so let's help 💯.
